A few things that resolve the most common issues:
Wirefox isn't blocking anything
Open Wirefox from the menu bar and confirm the toggle is on. macOS will prompt you the first time to allow Wirefox to filter network traffic — if you dismissed that prompt, re-enable filtering in System Settings → Network → Filters.
A website is broken or won't load
Click the Wirefox menu bar icon and choose Disable, then reload. Browsers cache DNS lookups aggressively, so you may need to fully quit the browser (⌘Q) and reopen it for the change to take effect.
Reporting a bug
It helps a lot if you include:
- Your macOS version (Apple menu → About This Mac)
- The Wirefox version (menu bar → About Wirefox)
- What you were doing and what happened
TestFlight
Wirefox is in public beta on TestFlight. Join the beta here — you'll need the free TestFlight app from the App Store.
System requirements
Wirefox requires macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later, on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
